About
Bob is a North Carolina native and attended East Carolina University and Wake Forest University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, in 1973. In addition to being first in his law school class, Bob earned the United States Law Week Award, the Warren A. Seavy Award, and served on the Board of Editors of the Wake Forest University Law Review. He is a Senior Partner in the firm, and his practice is concentrated in the areas of general civil litigation, insurance litigation, personal injury litigation, business and commercial litigation, and employment litigation.
Bob has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1995, and he is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell®. Bob is a past president of the Western North Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and he is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Forsyth County Bar Association, North Carolina Association of Defense Counsel, and Wake Forest University School of Law Joseph Branch Inns of Court.
Bob is a member of Highland Presbyterian Church where he serves as an Elder and Chairman of the Personnel Committee.
